zwergenHAFT invites you to a mask performance on the male variety, takes you on a journey to masculine dreams, longings and worries, opens your eyes to the alliances between men and to the issues that keep them poles apart.
From the succesful winner to the scented supermacho, from the everlasting looser to the spineless drunk... the variety that Man experiences seem to be endless.
MASKULIN – a piece on manliness which scratches the surface of the thickskinned man, and in which the harsh humor undermines the hard manly cliff and in a tragic-comical way strips down the „Myth of Man“ – as the strong and invincible hero.
zwergenHAFT looks behind the surface to bring out the human in Men.

The curtain rises for these „gentlemen“. Please welcome on stage omnipotent masculinity! Walk right into a male parade à la zwergenHAFT!
With amazingly expressive theatre masks produced with their own hands and virtuoso body movements, Patrick Boog and Alexander Huber, both trained as maskers, puppeteers and actors, conjure a whole ensemble of different varieties of the male onto the stage in this, their second, full-length programme.
They reveal what joins men together but also keeps them worlds apart.
From the winner spoiled by success to the super macho reeking of after-shave, from the eternal loser and the wimp, right down to the boozer down in the depths or in the abyss.
Lots of humour and situation comedy scratch at the rough surface of tough-skinned masculinity in a story full of totally scurrilous incidents. It’s absolutely spot on!
